St. James's Place named Financial Times and Investors Chronicle '2012 UK Wealth Manager of the Year'

St James's Place awards 2012St. James’s Place, the wealth management group, has been named ‘2012 UK Wealth Manager of the Year’ at the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle Wealth Management Awards held on 17 May 2012. This is the third time in five years that St. James’s Place has won this prestigious award.

The Financial Times and Investors Chronicle Wealth Management Awards recognise the very best of wealth management in the UK. The awards are decided by readers of the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle, and a select panel of judges.

Readers were invited to take part in a detailed questionnaire about their wealth managers and asked to assess wealth managers on a range of criteria including performance, fees, range of investment options and tax solutions, trustworthiness and overall competence.

David Bellamy, chief executive, St. James’s Place, said: “We are delighted to have won this award, particularly as it is voted for by clients. Our business is all about providing face-to- face advice, putting relationships with clients at the heart of everything we do, so it is especially pleasing to see this recognised by winning this award and I'd like to thank everyone who voted for us.'
